For my senior studio project, I have been working on designing a series of book covers from the viewpoint of the duality of life. These ideas started after living abroad and becoming more aware of the differences between the two lives that I had experienced.
I chose books surrounding themes of community, food, exploration, language, and hospitality, and designed covers in a collage style using all personal photos, from both the US and abroad.
These books are meant to be individual, while also functioning as a set, taking inspiration from Criterion Collection’s director movie sets. Fall 2025 was for designing the covers and deciding the binding for the books. Spring 2026, I am working on fully designing and producing at least one of these books for my senior studio showcase
